God I hate fur. How many off-Strip casino floors do you suppose had to die just to make this one ugly coat? Given the way the King of Klass’s waistcoat buttons are straining under the pressure, I’m going to guess half of the Hard Rock and all of the Tropicana.

Er, are you talking about stray/lost dogs being rounded up and put in PETA’s shelters? In some states they’re killed after going three days unclaimed. Seriously, PETA are crazy enough already without you having to lie. Spreading black propaganda only makes you sound like an idiot.
Isn’t rounding up animals, holding them only 3 days, and then “humanely euthanizing” them about the same thing as taking animals, killing them, and disposing their bodies in a dumpster?
I know they can’t save every animal, but they should hold an animal at least a week to 2 weeks, so that they have a fighting chance at finding a new home.

PETA: KIDNAP CREATURES AND KILL THEM. They have killed dogs who would have had homes otherwise! Animals that were being fostered, actual pets, they even lied and swindled a vet out of several dalmations that weren’t fucked up! They’ve stolen and killed service animals as death is evidently better than slavery!

Oh also btw, you can actually go to a shelter, like what my dad did when some dumbasses let our dog out of the yard. And say that your dog went missing, if you find him/her can you please call us? Guess what.
The shelter called us when they found our dog- and it wasn’t even the same shelter we had asked, it was another shelter in another town.
Would PETA do this? NO. They’d have most likely killed my black fuzzy idiot instead of returning her home to me! Shelters =/= PETA.

I also agree with Candi. PETA is against no-kill shelters because of this “quality of life” issue. If they really believe in “animal rights” they should work in the same way as human rights: Do human rights activists advocate (and carry out) mass slaughter of people whose quality of life is too low?
No, the real agenda is that animal rights groups (speaking not only of PETA now) want pet-keeping to eventually be outlawed entirely (which is completely logical if you believe in animal rights, it would be like slavery) and the only way to do that is to gradually decrease the number of pets that exist, by various means: first cutting down “acceptable” pets to cats and dogs only, then making breeding unacceptable, and finally euthanazing as many existing pets as possible.
Now I don’t believe they’ll ever achieve this goal, but the intermediate steps (outlawing perfectly domesticated animals such as ferrets in NYC and California on the grounds that they’re “wild animals and belong in the wild”, killing lost pets before they can be reclaimed, and so on) can make life pretty miserable for pet lovers who care about animal welfare rather than animal rights. Google the difference.
PETA also funds the Animal Liberation Front, which as far as I am concerned is a domestic Terrorist group. Since when is “liberating” animal fire bombing a dog pound? On top of the issue of PETA getting nailed when they bought massive freezers to install in their building that they use for storing bodies of the animals they kill, because dumping them the right way as bio waste requires them having a specific licence, which they do not. The President is on an animal based insuline, and the VP is only alive because of the vein transplant she recieved from a MEAT PIG. The whole organization is completely screwed. They prey on 14-17 year olds who they show the most graphic videos they can find to in order to make them shy away from the topic and sign up or sign petitions when the signatures will not count. The kicker to the whole thing is that more than once when i have spoken my mind to PETA members at concerts or other public arenas the representative I have spoken to has gotten VIOLENT. So outdated video, preying on kids,funding terrorists, killing more than 75% of “rescuded” animals and storing them in a freezer (great example of loving animals), and two hypocrites running the whole show

I’m in total agreement with Random & all of you that claim to love animals & support either PETA or the Humane Society need to do some research & give your money to small shelters that actually care for & maintain the lives of the animals that come to them. What PETA has been doing for years (ask them why they need an industrial sized freezer for their HQ when they prefer to just throw the bodies in random dumpsters) is playing up to animal lovers while killing them by the thousands & supporting terrorism via the ALF (& using donated money to pay for their attorney fees & court costs), so every cent you are giving to PETA & the Humane Society is being used to support lavish lifestyles of Ingrid Newkirk & her buttlicking disciples & to purchase “euthanasia” supplies to kill off dogs/puppies, cats/kittens that they will lie for or steal to take “out of slavery.” Get some facts & refuse to support these kooks. The shelters I support need all that they can get as more pets are being given up as the economy is causing folks to lose jobs & homes, while PETA & the HSUS is holding lavish galas to rub shoulders with idiot celebrities.
