Well, it’s not like it couldn’t be dyed. Designers dye real fur all the time–particularly when it’s dog or cat fur and they’re trying to camouflage that. My understanding (though I’m not sure about this) that much of the brightly dyed pink, green, orange, blue, etc fur you see is dog or cat.

@Bunnie, Mrs. Slocombe (played by the late Mollie Sugden) was on “Are You Being Served?”. The female lead on “Keeping Up Appearances” is Hyacinth Bucket (played by Patricia Routledge). I agree with you about the Mrs. Slocombe resemblance, just having a slight OCD moment about matching characters and shows.
