These kinds of things are regularly done for nail show competitions. Yes they have competitions. They have artistic categories in which anything goes, and they also have more natural categories.
Hair stylists have similar competitions as well, and for both they’re usually combined with a convention that features classes and product demos.
And the make-this-dog-look-weird competitions, dogs painted or dyed and clipped to look like … very undoggy things
Woo! Somebody else that has a clue about nail shows. My mom does stuff like that, little acrylic or gel sculptures – not on clients, she uses the plastic tips instead. She has some tiny flowers, bees, and frogs that she made not too long ago.
