Fashion Fail - He Never Grew Out Of Bibs

Submitted by: dunno source via Submission Page

What do you suppose the success rate is on this shirt getting this guy laid? A hundred percent? A MILLION percent?

Yeah, I’m gonna go with the latter.

Incorrect source or offensive?

  1. San says:

Ah, the ‘brulshirt’! From a Dutch store :)

  2. Melle. says:

Dude, this is our shirt! Holland sold them for the soccer match. They’re awesome ^^ I have one too! ;D

    • runlevel0 says:

      What is soccer?

AFAIK we only play Football here: You know, the sport where men with iron spikes in their shoes run for 90 minutes after a ball hitting the crap out of each other and kicking balls with their feet (both the real balls and the figurative ones).

“Soccer” sound like something you do with your socks, lol! Well, maybe if they don’t wash them too often it can get real hardcore…

      • InfiniteWisdom says:

You mean football, where all the guys have to wear protective clothing to prevent them from crying when there is phsycial contact :)

And also, where is here? AFAIK we are on internet and that is global, not restricted to the US.

To steal a quote from a famous DUTCH soccer trainer: are we so smart or is everybody else FAILING. Hahahaha.

        • runlevel0 says:

Well, that should be called “fluffyball” or more accurately “fluffymelon” based on the form of the object they use :P

BTW: It’s discriminatory, women would play American football much better as they already have frontal protection!!!

          • Shairlyn says:

Nonononono! The one with the melon-shaped ball is rugby; all the blood, guts and testosterone of war and you can still go down the pub afterwards!

            • runlevel0 says:

Yeah, but they wouldn’t play that in the USA: They would sue the crap out of each other…

              • runlevel0 says:

you shouldn’t be reading these web sites while your drama levels are this high, it can be bad for your health :P

        • Pootie Tang says:

Yes I forgot that the number of career ending European Football Injuries Far outweighs that Of American Football. We certainly are pussies to the West of the Atlantic – playing a sport in which the point is to tackle people with full force. Now Rugby, that’s some messed up shit.

  3. Dee says:

haha omg yeah i remember… im dutch, it was a big hit in holland a few years ago because of some soccer championship

  4. JamJam says:

I feel that I need to kill that man.

  5. doof says:

uhm.. dude? its a dutch shirt.. orange and a lion..?
pretty commonly worn here in holland!
specially when soccer games are played n stuff.

    • Mikki says:

I have never ever ever actually SEEN someone wear that shirt. So I wouldn’t say commonly worn.

I have seen them in the storms, and in promotion campagnes.

  6. l33tst4r says:

this is old… we (us dutch guys) had this years ago….

  7. Mariah says:

    Drunk Frat boy

  8. Demidan says:

That shirt says, “Punch my in the face when I open the lions mouth”.

  9. fakeman says:

That’s a shirt produced for Dutch football fans. As far as I know they sold by the tens of thousands. The main goal of wearing the shirt was not to get laid, but to get beer.

  10. vortex says:

    It’s a dutch soccer fan shirt :P
The lion is the dutch national symbol.
It looks pretty old… Probably from the 90s

    • Bartvo says:

Indeed, but it’s not from the 90s. Digging deep in my memory, I remember that it was on the last World Championship of soccer, which was in 2006 if I remember right, though I don’t know for sure if they might have been used more early than 2006 (the WC before that (2002), I was too young (I’m from December 1995, so I was probably 6 back then (they don’t do WC’s in winter…)). They were really popular during June 2006, because in that month were the half-finals / final round(s).

I can still hear my dad yell at the TV with some of his mates about the soccer, while I was on the computer, because I don’t like soccer (it’s 22 man running after a ball and earning money with that. Like, wow…)

The shirts might be coming back this year, because there will be a World Championship in Southern Africa this year.

      • my little blow me says:

Is everybody stupid here? It`s from last cup, the european cup of 2008. Ik snap niet dat mensen massaal niet doorhebben dat dit de hype was van de het laatste EK nog maar 2 jaar geleden.

    • RAAAWR says:

Not that old! It’s from 2005 or something!

  11. KnowsallxD says:

It was actually a dutch shirt made for the World championships of soccer.. The lion is a dutch symbol and the colour orange is the dutch colour =D ( superhappy smiley face )

  12. rab3 says:

My 8 year old would like one. Where do I get it.

    • Bartvo says:

I don’t exactly know where you would be able to get one. If you live in the Netherlands, then you’ll be able to get one somewhere in May, or in the end of April or later.

If you don’t live in the Netherlands, then you probably won’t be able to get one, unless you go to the Netherlands.

    • runlevel0 says:

Then just imagine on a bunch of adults… and with orange wigs too!!!

  13. Merle says:

It’s the face paint that really sells it

  14. Wianne says:

It’s a Dutch thing. Something to do with soccer, a lion being a national symbol and orange a national color. Dutch people don’t often let them selves go, please leave us be…

  15. E says:

It was for the soccer world cup – or europe cup, whatever. You’re supposed to look ridiculous, I think.

  16. Mike says:

I know, it’s a stretch to think something might have a point rather than just being adolescent and snarky, but maybe, just MAYBE… Detroit Lions fan-ware??? Or some college whose mascot is the Lion? Kinda clever, actually. Picture a whole section of bleachers like that, doing a “wave”…

    • Ben says:

Well, this shirt is from the Netherlands.
Ik know it because i live there and i owe one.
This shirt was made two years ago for the European championship of soccer.

It’s a really cool shirt because you can rawr at people whenever you want.

  17. Jonzon7 says:

That’s a shirt meant for football (soccer) fans of the Nederlands to support their team in the upcoming World Cup. Notice the Nederlands flag painted all over the guy’s face? The lion being their national animal and the orange shirt…

  18. Ellen says:

It’s a dutch soccer fan t-shirt. The lion is the mascotte of the dutch national soccer team.

  19. ravyn says:

    that’s a dutch shirt for soccer-fans, it’s the dutch lion :P

  20. joelle says:

    THE NETHERLANDS!!!!

  21. jan says:

This is Dutch national soccer team supporter wear :P

  22. Luki says:

They’re dutch shirts. Introduced a couple of years ago for the world championships soccer. The lion is our countries symbol so is the color orange. They’re called Brul shirts translated as “Roar” Shirts. When ever there’s a goal the people will roar with their shirts. XD

    • VickyLee says:

O.o Whoa… a whole stadium full of people with those shirts roaring? That’s gotta be intimidating.

      • dutchheyy says:

That’s excactly why we have it x]

        • runlevel0 says:

Yeah, very intimidating, a pity that the Russians didn’t feel quite impressed and kicked Orange out of the cup 1-3 in the quarter finals… I had aligned all my Wuppies from the WK 2006 in front of the TV to give good luck, but in vain, neither the Brulshirt, nor the Wuppies did their job :P

  23. Bugu says:

Actually, it’s the Dutch Lion, and Dutch soccer fans tend to get carried away just a little bit too much when showing their love for the team. A Dutch store started selling it for the European Championship in 2008. Maybe some fans will wear this come the World Cup…

  24. scott says:

I’m not gonna lie. I want one of these.

  25. David says:

They were made for supporters of the Dutch national football (soccer) team

  26. Kat says:

Sadly enough this guy is a dutch soccer fan. Imagine a whole country full of them this summer ….

  27. Fred says:

Jesus Christ it’s a LION! GET IN THE CAR!!!

  28. The Doctor says:

I wonder if the Dutch had anything to do with this shirt?

  29. Bree says:

Can someone please tell me where to get this shirt. My boyfriend saw it and I was joking around asking if I could get him one and now he really does want one. So I some how have to find this shirt so he can go around rawr’ing and people. *faceplam* He’s such a dork.

    • Sarah says:

In may they’ll probably be available in the Netherlands again. Maybe you can recruit someone to mail one of the shirts to you.

      • Linda says:

In dutch it is called a “brulshirt”. So you can try and find it online. Unfortunately it is not sold anymore and not listed on ebay.
But I hope you’ll find it.

  30. G. James says:

    Want.

  31. Mike says:

Okay, so I was off by an ocean… Dutch fan-wear… a little goofy, but having watched moronic, drunken Seahawks fans paint themselves blue-green-silver from the waist up on frigid Seattle Sundays for years, maybe not SO goofy after all? Kinda cool, fun… and from what I know of them, the Dutch tend to be more than a bit proud of their national brand of silliness. Hell, some of them gave themselves nasty last names (“Pizzer” comes to mind, sorry if I am wrong on that) to irritate the Spanish when they were occupied by them five hundred years ago…

    • Bartvo says:

Uhhm, I know that somewhere in 1568 the first attack on the Spanish army that occupied The Netherlands was launched with the help of Willem Van Oranje. Before the attack, he became poor, though didn’t forget he was still a prince. That way, he could give out special notes to people named “Watergeuzen” so they could capture the ship, and loot all the money. With those people, he conquered some island that I for the name of. That was the start of the 80-year war in 1568. Willem Van Oranje was murdered in 1584. The war ended in 1648.

    • Domo says:

last names here are odd as f*ck.
People called Naaktgeboren (Bornnaked), Poepjes (poopies) and theres a dutch celeb called Daphne Bunskoek.. i have no idea what Buns means but Koek means cookie.
yeah, we are that weird :)

      • runlevel0 says:

bah, I got a British customer called “Butt”… just imagine writing to this guy “Dear Mr Butt”. I swear it, it’s not a joke!

    • E says:

Yeah, we have people here that are called “bornnaked” or “poo”. I have no idea what pizzer means, though.

    • Bugu says:

It was the French and yes, we did. From tame stuff like “born naked” to stuff like “small turds”. We didn’t like the French and didn’t take it too seriously when they forced us to register family names. So we showed our fondness of them by ridiculing them and their policies. Nowadays people sometimes regret that, for example when “in the field” marries “born naked” and becomes “born naked – in the field” :) .

  32. bananafish says:

it’s a lion shirt… Get in the car!

  33. VickyLee says:

Dutch FTW! :D (BTW, anyone know where to get one of those in America in kid’s sizes?)

  34. ajohnson153 says:

How about actually reading some of the comments before making one? We don’t need 20 people telling us what the shirt is. If you have no new info to add to the discussion then take your fingers off of the keys. Now how about commenting with useful information like where the hell I can get one?

    • Ellen says:

Sigh….As you MIGHT have noticed, comments are moderated. So……figure this out…….maybe people type their replies unknowing that other ones are still in line, unpublished yet?

    • Linda says:

Just maybe you should read the earlier comments and see that they are not sold anymore!
on a brighter note just fucking goole it

      • Ikke says:

They are still for sale… Two days ago I was trying to “orange up”, and found some in the local Blokker store, Heerestraat, Groningen, NL

  35. Ian says:

    Holy shit.

    I want this shirt.

  36. nobbi says:

    best.shirt.ever.
wanted one for queen’s day but they were all sold out :D

  37. Bloody says:

Sadly, he probably would get laid during that time. xD

  38. Snow says:

    This still makes me sad to be Dutch whenever I see it ;_;

  39. NEDERLAND! says:

Haha, nederland is lekker de beste =) Jammer wel dat het bij slecht gekleed staat, ik heb het shirt thuis…

  40. HennerBoBenner says:

That is an AWESOME SHIRT – must try to find one

  41. Bartvo says:

When I know anything about where to get one right now, I’ll post it.

  42. That shirt is so ridiculous lol.

  43. Aki(nl) says:

Godverdomme, gaat iemand NOG een keer uitleggen waar het shirt voor bedoelt is en waar het vandaan komt? Na de 30ste keer wisten we het wel….

FFS, is there going to be another person explaining where this shirt comes from and what it’s used for? We do know now, reading it for the 30th time…

  44. Roar says:

The best thing was when there were only XL shirts left, so you saw little children walking around in what looked like huge dresses. :P

  45. ohiogirlie74 says:

I enjoy imagining the dude wearing it when he’s not at a football match, with the top lips just sort of, like, flapping sadly.

  46. Joran says:

    commercial for the shirt: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79GJHd_ZOX8
    translation:
sudenly, lions apear on the drinking spot, they came to satisfy their thurst.
The male keeps a close eye on the welps who are playing. But when the pack is threatened, The king of all animals isn’t in his underwear (this is something from a dutch saying/song btw), but in his RAWR shirt!

the rawr shirt, exclusive at blokker, for 4,95, when payed for 15 euro’s of other products.

  47. Blazi says:

    I dunno, I’d lay him.

  48. MM says:

    Yay, The Netherlands!

    Brul shirt ftw! :’)

  49. Slaapman says:

    Got that shirt ;P

    (i’m from hollan)

  50. tom says:

    viva hollandia

  51. lizzydaze says:

I like that shirt, it looks cool to me..^_^

  52. emma says:

I’m Dutch but this shirt is just embarrassing lmao

  53. Cuisine says:

I find it hard to believe you’re all Dutch. Mostly because the commenters on this site aren’t 80% Dutch. That’s not how the interblag works.

    • Koos says:

How about: Dutch people comment on this because they recognise it and people from other countries don’t because it’s not a familiar shirt to them?

You need to brush up on your statistics lessons if you think the amount of people who post from a certain country reflects the amount of people from each country that visit this website.

  54. Hammockguy says:

Hup, Holland, hup! Laat de leeuw niet in z’n hempie staan!

  55. PhailNinja says:

    It’s a winfail. That’s a badass shirt.

When you open the mouth, it should roar.

  56. Rob says:

The H*neken megaphone wasn’t half bad.
    Especially in the TV commercial:
“Is that a real German shepherd?”
    “Yes…”
    (through megaphone, at dog) HOL-LAND!
    “Woof woof woof!”

which works fine because of our arch-rivals, the German National Team.

  57. CeltMom says:

Honestly I don’t follow sports but I love the shirt and I know my son would to. It’s hilarious! Definitely have to look it up!

  58. Ally says:

My 8 year old nephew would love that shirt. However on an adult it looks kinda creepy.

  59. joryy says:

This shirt is actually made for mating with drunk chicks in the mating period, from june to juli.

  60. gadgetvinder says:

Wilhelmus van Nassouwe ben ik van Duitsen bloed, den vaderland getrouwe blijf ik tot in den dood. Een prinse van Oranje ben ik, vrij onverveerd, den Koning van Hispanje heb ik altijd geëerd.

  61. D says:

This is amazing!! If this is considered poorly dressed I should be embarassed because I looked high and low for this shirt after finding it on this site and I just ordered mine off ebay – cant wait for it to come in!!

  62. Aap says:

  70. rotterdam says:

    yeaaah gooo holland!!!

ps: why do american call their sport football while they can touch the ball with their hands? I think that both sports is just rugby for sissies hahahaha

  71. [...] – Ein T-Shirt  bei dem sich die Frage stellt: cool oder absolut anti-cool? [...]

  72. StouteWouter says:

    Eerse Wenk: Die Leeu
Tweede Wenk: Te veel fokken oranje

  77. hi says:

ya i have seen soooooooooooo many duchies wearing that shirt its crazy

  78. Bartvo says:

I e-mailed the Blokker (the only store they’ll be available in) on the 15th of April, and I got a reply back yesterday. They said that the shirts are now for sale again in only the Blokker but that they won’t send them to abroad.

Though I could of course send them to you when you really want it, then I could buy it for you in the size you request (for children too) and then I’ll send it. (first half-payment, then when sent, 2nd payment). I think I’ll need some help from my fellow Dutch guys to do this.

I don’t yet know what price they are, I should go along the store and find out.

  79. Robin says:

    Must. Have. One.
No seriously, we need those for the WK this year. It’ll at least distract the other team.

  80. elr says:

the picture in the middle makes the guy look like daniel tosh….

  81. Anonymous says:

    We pakken het Wereldkampioenschap! RAAAAWWRRR!!!

OZZIE OZZIE OZZIE OI OI OI
    AUSTRALIANS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  83. Mikki says:

Wasn’t this like also some sort of protest against the rule that you can’t put your shirt over your head when you score a goal?

    Anyway, us Dutchies are cuhrazie.

  84. Nienus says:

It’s ugly. But I love it.

    Proud to be fout :)

  85. Stefan says:
