  1. DevilBunnies says:

Not pictured: Little Timmy, the family rebel, in his Babylon 5 uniform. Tragically Johnny (middle row, red shirt) was killed by a Klingon impersonator seconds after this photo was taken.

  2. Mr Obvious says:

Why did they put the 13 year old into the supposedly sexy tight body suit? That’s creepy.

  3. Capsolo99 says:

To boldly go….and drug half your family so they can smile for the holo-camera.

  4. Itchy says:

Dad is like YES! This is awesome! Mom is like UGH! Whatever makes you happy honey!

  5. DJ says:

Poor Timmy the redsuit. Immediately after this photo was taken, he was evaporated by a death ray.

  6. Nancy says:

The one in the red shirt’s not gonna make it through puberty. Red shirts always go out in horrible, nasty ways.

    • Idene says:

To make matters worse, there are SIX family members, meaning Mr Red Shirt there is most definitely family member #6, and is going to die. . . badly. . . but soon be forgotten I would assume.

  7. Mr Wizard says:

I’d totally put it in that chick in the blue, socially crippling childhood be damned!

  8. Trekkie says:

If my family did this, I think I might die from awesomeness…

  9. Allie says:

It’s so nice to see people doing things as a family…

  10. maglindracia says:

I know I am a nerd because I think this picture is really cool. Fashion forward, hell no. But cool. they actually look pretty happy together. Wish i could have done stuff like that with my family.

  11. margonaut.com says:

say what you will, those kids are lucky

  12. barry says:

Why do only 2 have communicators? Too cheap to buy them for everyone?

  13. cuddles says:

Red Shirt doesn’t even look related, poor kid they adopted him to sacrifice on some far away planet…..

    • spotter says:

Not related? But you did see those ears, did you?
I bet the girls in this family always wear their hair open.

  14. kitten says:

    those kids are lucky.
when my son was young I made him a star trek costume for Halloween one year. he loved it. i got him a phaser and a communicator. that was back when deep space 9 was on prime time and this picture could be back from a time like then.

  15. Liz says:

NOT poorly dressed!Who invited a non-geek to the Internet?

I amend this. Not poorly dressed except for the mother. Her skirt is too long.

    • JournalGirl says:

No, it’s not. That is the dress that Troi wore on ST: TNG.

    • Gothbunny says:

Poorly dressed for Trek reasons! Mom’s skirt is too long. Where is little one’s and Dad’s communicators? Missing pips! Dad, Little guy and Red shirt are all missing pips. And big sister needs to ditch the granny panties with a one piece leotard, pantie lines of doom! Mom and sister’s uniforms are the wrong shade of blue. And red shirt outranks them all since it’s TNG uniforms!
      I’m done!

    • gary says:

      Agreed. Family photo win!!

  16. JournalGirl says:

I have 3 young boys. Last halloween they were Spock (pointed ears & all), Kirk, and Scotty. Yes, I know you want pics. If I can find them, I’ll post

  17. photon says:

    so cool!!!
    IMMD

  18. MaGnUs says:

    Families, now available in awesome.

  19. Smithy says:

    Ensign Big-Ears for the block!

  20. Heli says:

Why? I think it’s cute the whole family enjoy…

  21. jamisings says:

    Yes, Trekkers do breed.

Me, I’m just a Trekkie. (Like the shows, don’t dress up. Trekkers dress up.)

  22. Booyah says:

Oh, the one in red is so ugly…

  23. Sadly says:

No, you never really get over it. Children of Trek fans never really have a normal life after that. We have seen TOO MUCH.

  24. Fawfulster says:

    The daughter looks hot!

  25. Didi says:

I suddenly feel so much better about my family. I’m mean, we have problems, but least we’re not “those” people!

  26. AgelessKronos says:

The family that Treks together stays together!

  27. Jen says:

Epic family win! Wish I had some fellow trekkies in mine…

  28. Thomas Magnum says:

Is that Ponch? Looks like he made a little family for himself in between shity commercials and reality tv shows.

  29. tyberius says:

I bet they have to special order Vulcan ears – the regular size doesn’t fit them.

But yeah. Those kids aren’t malnourished, aren’t abandoned, aren’t sharing a lifestyle of worshipping sluttiness and/or banditism, and I’m willing to bet they’ll grow up to be more enlightened than most American kids, or most kids in the world for that matter. So, who exactly needs years of therapy?

    • Long before dawn says:

Every time the middle son walks into the room, someone hums ominous music…

That’s good for a lil therapy.

  30. sofi says:

I hope One of those kids has this as their profile pic!

  31. Mariah says:

I don’t have anything against the photo but I have something against the photo being on the internet. Somethings are not meant to be seen outside the family.

  32. ArchsGurl says:

OMG That is soo Cool! My Kids are now jealous that WE dont take a family pic like that. Whoever thinks this family is poorly dressed shouldnt be allowed air!

  33. np says:

Proof that there just isn’t anything remotely cool about Star Trek.

  34. stacyleed says:

No therapy required for the boys who probably loved it. But that poor teen girl has NO bra and the dreaded granny panties showing through the unitard… THAT will require therapy…

  35. Ginnintonix says:

The middle son (the one without the pips) gave a great explanation when this pic was posted at Awkward Family Photos a few months back.

  36. Steph says:

    Ginnintonix: What was the explanation?

  37. JethrO says:

Thank god my family doesnt even know what star trek is!

  38. Melanie says:

I don’t know about the whole therapy thing. They all look pretty damn happy to me.

  39. Joey says:

I’d like to have seen the reaction of the people at the photography place when they arrived, most likely with a boom box blasting the Star Trek opening song.

  40. Darklady says:

“It’s going to take the kids years of therapy to get over this.”

No, because the little one, standing like Worf, is going to slip into the bedrooms with a qhonDoq and end the dishonor and humiliation…

  41. cablepower says:

    I need a trichorder

  42. omg says:

They put their daughter in tight fitting outfit but make her wear granny underwear and no bra. WTF ?!!!!

    • Kk says:

I’m with you. She is like 13 , old enough for a bra to young for a sexy bodysuit and WAY to young for grammy panties.

  43. Antichrist III says:

Is this not the Heene Family portrait ? Balloon Boy you Rock

  44. Lior says:

    Star Trek: Family Therapy

  45. Da Louvre Maneuvre says:

    I blame the father…

  46. pepsibookcat says:

    Live long and prosper.

You know what? This family is actually probably healthier than most. Good on them!

  47. Jimmylou says:

Oh my god! Stargate became a family drama years ago, but now they are aiming for Star Trek!
Spock, your emotional coolness has to be strong now…

  48. Trampadoo says:

    This is

    a) not poorly dressed
    b) pretty awesome

  49. Bra1npan1 says:

Too bad about that kid in the red shirt. I wonder if he will be in the next family photo

  50. Abbie says:

Unknown to his parents, putting Timmy in a red shirt would prove fatal.

  51. Nightbreed says:

Am I the only one noticing the entire family is white……barring the dad!

  52. Cougar says:

this is a FAIL on the website’s side, these guys are actually very cool. it’s a must do.

  53. Jaybelle says:

Dad made them do it. But watch out for Mom: she’s the enabler.

  54. forsetti says:

No one’s pointed out that none of the kids look like dad???

  55. robowarrior says:

Am I the only one who thinks this is awesome? XD

Except for the little kid in the jumpsuit, that’s kinda creepy.

  56. Lolover says:

I love how the boy in the middle is like “GET ME OUT OF THIS THING!!!” Therapy needed…

  57. Inkblot says:

I cannot even tell you how much I love this family.

  58. Friendlycrab says:

    FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!

  59. saylo says:

This family is made of awesome!

  60. Turtle says:
