What’s that old saying about French cars? The French copy everybody, but nobody copies the French? Well, I think they came up with this one on their own and I hope nobody is stupid enough to copy them.

Lenoir invented the internal combustion engine. Also,
citroën (same group as peugeot) invented hydraulic suspensions, that were later copied by all assemblers. Not to mention the TGV, the concorde, etc.
