Ah, remember the seventies? The glorious, Ritz cracker–filled, pre-orthodontic, coordinating outfits made entirely out of patchwork seventies?
Yeah, me neither.

Ha ha ha, he’s wearing PJs, right?
No, those are actually clothes. You could buy outfits like that are Sears and J.C. Penny, and Woolworth. Now I’m going to have recuring nightmares from my childhood.
I has a scared 0.0
Oh, I remember the 70′s.
But I never remember them looking like THAT!
This must be the source of, “Hey kid. Your mother dresses you funny.”
I remember looking like that. And my mother did dress me funny. In 1976, for the bicentennial, my mother sewed me polyester clothes in the shades of red, white, and blue. Its all i had to wear that year. four shirts and three pairs of pants. I couldn’t even hope they would wear out, as polyester has a half life of about 50 years.
The most you could hope for was to out grow them before the local bullies saw you in them.
Naw, the local bullies were dressed just like you.
Kid’s clothing fits correctly. His pants are not on the ground. His adult teeth are probably not all in yet so the dentist isn’t going to do any major work on them. And the patchwork outfit is kind of cute.
Frankly, I think this is full of win and calling him poorly dressed means you have no taste.
^ It’s like a black hole that allows no humor to escape !
Yeah, I kno……………(humor sucked into blackhole)
No, more like a realist.
Pants on the ground = poorly dressed.
Cute patchwork outfit from the 70s with the pants at waist level = nicely dressed.
How old are you and why do you care?
im 25 …and its an old cute photo.
Well, taste in clothing – like so many other things – is in the eye of the beholder.
Now, about your icon….
Dentists (good ones) will recommend the use of retainers to begin nudging teeth into the correct pattern. This should begin as early as possible, and will cost far less than braces.
This was the ’70s though. I don’t think they had anything but those huge headgear things (think 16 Candles!).
Nope, I actually had a permanent retainer (I couldn’t take it out, but the orthodontist could) starting in second grade – 1972.
I wonder which Fortune 500 company he now runs.
Aren’t those pajamas?
Well it’d be funnier if the ‘patches’ weren’t printed on a set of fleece pajamas. XD
I think this chap is probably still living with his mum.
hahaha, seems likely
I think that’s a “Nilla Wafer” he’s nomin…..’course, I’ve problems that I noticed that…or my mind just refused to look at that garish outfit.
Austin Powers, is that you?
Looks more like Adam Savage from Mythbusters…
That was my first thought too
i think my mom had that exact same pattern – but as a leisure suit
NERD!
damn,i keep thinking pyjamas too.
N o I think it is a kid’s version of a leisure suit. patches were really really popular in the seventies.
btw… what is he doing out side in the park in his jammies?? Seems a happy kid… he probably grew up to have braces, and lasik and a multi-million dollar a minute computer geek job. Last laff is on us.
Could be his own back yard- note the fence in the background.
I’m pretty sure my little brother had this suit.
I honestly don’t see anything wrong with how that kid is dressed…
When this was the norm (http://www.foreignmego.com/plaid/lills.jpg) then no…those aren’t PJs he’s wearing.
*trust, I DO remember outfits like this…”luckily” for me my parents were “wannabie hippies”, so I was stuck with shoulder length hair, and very colourful (*read: GARISH COLOURS) dashikies…mind you, I was a VERY pale, VERY blonde young WHITE BOY. Sort of explains my shaved head and penchant for dark coloured clothing now.
Damn, he reminds me of myself at that age. How unfortunate.
No, those are not pajamas. That was the height of fashion for a couple of years during the 70s. I still have nightmares. At least it’s not tan. The seas of tan!
I think he’s cute.
this is very cute though!! not like the rest of the pics here.
the cloth that you are calling flannel to identify them as pajamas is incorrect the cloth is chamios (not sure on spelling). and they are definitly clothes not pj’s. memories are rough on teenagers of the seventies.
