The Family That Plaids Together

Fashion Fail - The Family That Plaids Together

It’s good to see them smiling again. Things have been hard since little Jesse disappeared into the basement sofa three years ago. These days they lay a solid-colored blanket down before letting the kids sit on any plaid surfaces.

This pic is from back in the ’80s. Nowadays, little Timmy and Susie are a very successful team of professional assassins. Nobody’s found Mom & Dad’s bodies —- errrr, Mom & Dad are apparently living off the grid in a secluded mountain cabin…..

It’s a plaid, plaid, plaid, plaid world.

This family must be related to Pete & Pete, “plaid is the color of my people”.

good hell. what is wrong with their chests? are those pockets? the father and son look like they have boxy breasts. O.o well, the son looks like he’s had a mastectomy. help i can’t wrap my brain around this one argh.

    • ..... says:

I can’t wrap my brain around the idea that you see a boy and think he used to have breasts, but is now flat-chested again due to a mastectomy.

You see? This is what happens when crappy fabric goes on sale in bulk. We must stop this tragedy.

This just demonstrates the evils of home sewing machines, too much free time and jumbo rolls of discount end-of range fabric. Just look at the racy diagonal plaid on the pockets, I’ll bet mom was pround of that little touch..

    • keithybabes says:

Proud, even. AND I just said pretty much the same thing as bananacat. It’s late here. Just ignore me.

    • Bruised Almighty says:

You note that the “racy diagonal plaid” is only on the male’s shirts (along with pockets). No racy detailing or pocket for the girls. Nosiree!

    • rattus says:

What is really bugging me is that if you’re going to take the time and and make the effort to sew matching outfits for your entire family, you should be able to squeeze in five minutes to match up the squares so the plaid isn’t running all willy nilly over your chest. Lazy freakin’ hausfrau.

      • Jacki14 says:

You beat me to it! Why the pattern matches on some of the shirts and not the others–did she begin to hallucinate part way through the project?

    • Krista says:

And notice that the plaid doesn’t match up on the front placket of Mom & daughter’s shirts. She was probably going cross eyed by then and didn’t give a crap about matching the damn pattern anymore.

  23. Galane says:

Fer that last time, the pattern is a Tartan. A Plaid is a long strip of tartan pattern fabric worn as part of the traditional Scottish military uniform.

I know there are different types of SPANX, so please tell me the right one.
And how much $ do you think I should spend on SPANX.
