This picture was taken in Germany on a subway at the line 8 Hermannstraße station. The man may not even know what the shirt says.
Actually, the stop is Osloer Strasse, it is in the direction of Hermannstrasse. But I agree, he probably does not now what it means.

You’re correct, Apfelsaft, and even if he know what it says, “Gothic girls” to him may refer to women into late medieval art and architecture, and not to pale chicks with too much eyeliner.

As a Berliner:
Yes, that is in Berlin. The line in question is actually heading “downtown” towards Alexanderplatz from that station and considering that Berlin still has a pretty visible and active gothic scene I’d say he knows. Actually there are 2 locations of regular gothic parties on the route of that line.
Going that direction he may even be headed for Friedrichshain or Prenzlauer Berg where you see gothics on the street just about all the time, too.
anyway. i still appreciate this man’s shirt’s honesty that he is looking for Gothic girls.
