It’s official. The Internet has ruined tentacles. In any other context I might think “oh, what an interesting tie,” but right now I can’t. Even the guy who’s wearing it looks a little afraid. Curse you, Internet!

That has got to be a HP Lovecraft convention.
The guy’s tie truly sucks and I don’t get it at all. But I have to admit (sans tie) his overall look is totally awesome. He pulls it off very well.
I can forgive the tie because I assume there’s some cute, sweet, charming, heartbreaking, fun, forgivable story behind it.
Steampunk all the way!
bad mustache, stupid tie
Dumb troll, mindless sad pointless life.
nope
It really is a bad mustache
Now I want a tentacle necktie…
me too! I’m strangely drawn to tentacles and I’m not even japanese!
I love it!
I don’t understand why octopi are suddenly a part of steampunk. Can anyone explain that?
It’s not really “sudden”, since Jules Verne is considered to be the grandpappy of the steampunk genre. He wrote about a kraken or giant octopus, in one of his most popular works.
because steampunk is stupid
it’s sold as a scarf, not a tie. here’s the etsy page it was bought from: http://www.etsy.com/shop/creeplings
I can guarantee you, he’s not afraid, I know him personally. He’s my brother.
Your brother is one classy gent! This picture makes me happy. n_n
agreed.
keep up the steampunkiness without the hoopla – just back to basic awesomeness!
Well, If he really is…
Tell your brother I said “How do you do, Sir?”
*wink wink*
It’s a scarf, not a tie.
tis niether a scarf or a tie, but a cravat, and I would sell a kidney for the pattern to it…
the seller is on etsy.
i want one myself ..i loves octopi
found a free version of the pattern for those who can crochet….

Thank you!!
I agree on the Lovecraftian idea.
That sounds the most plausible inspiration.
That’s a scarf! Not a tie. And i want it haha
It would be perfect in purple! and it might turn alive on fullmoon!

I actually think he looks pretty cool. He wears it well. c:
