I always thought the point of a shoe was to protect your foot from mud/dirt/sharp rusty screws. If the shoe is painful and damaging your body, it’s dumb to wear them. I’m tired of hearing girls say “but they’re cute!” or “look how good my calves look!” …all I can say is, I’d like to be able to walk without crippled feet in the future.
It depends on the style for me, but I like them. I think they tend to make a woman’s feet appear smaller, and I’m told they make the legs look longer. I usually wear flats but that’s mainly been since I was pregnant, and I just never got into the habit of wearing heels again.
These above though… I can’t stand the super-pointed toes. I like round toes.
I’ve never seen much reason for super high heels or very pointy shoes. I’ve seen my cousin almost break her neck walking down stairs shopping in heels she really shouldn’t have been wearing. She did have a nice, large, blue ankle for a few weeks after tho.
I never found the appeal of wearing footwear that makes your foot look like it’s been run over by a steamroller. Plus, isn’t the goal of most women to make thier feet look smaller, not larger?
Actually, extremely pointed shoes like that WILL deform women’s feet if worn often enough, producing results similar to that picture. I have female relatives with toes permanently stunted into that position.
pointy toed shoes elongate the leg and make the body look longer and leaner. Heels of any kind raise a woman’s bottom and make her look more sexually attractive to men (biological, programmed mating instincts- think of a female animal presenting her bottom to males when she’s in heat) so most people find the look appealing. That being said, I live in flats most of the time.
also, the key to wearing pointy toed shoes is to go a half size up so that your toes aren’t crammed in the toe box and the point is “empty” space. For heels, it’s never a good idea to go over 3 inches and good quality shoes with inserts make a world of difference. Also, the wider the heel the better! Any cheap or poorly constructed shoe will destroy your feet, not just heels. Flip flops are horrible for feet but most people live in them
I like pointed shoes because I have tiny feet and it’s nice for my toes to stick out from under pant-legs for once…so I don’t look like I have hooves hiding under there or something :/
Not really a joke, since foot binding is very real and not at all funny: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foot_binding
The joke is that whoever made the poster imagines women’s feet are naturally shaped that way…
Second Life invades real life.
THANK YOU! It is about time someone said something about these abominations.

I have never understood why high heeled shoes are considered attractive. They have always looked awkward and uncomfortable to me.
I like a woman in a pair of mary-janes. Those look awesome.

I hate pointy shoes.. I like heels.. but I wear them rarely lol Plus I have tiny feet so most of the heels i find look kinda kiddish
I hate pointed shoes. Wouldn’t catch me dead in those things.
I hate pointy shoes too. And stilettos. Plus I’m too tall to wear high heels anyway as I don’t like to tower my man.

Haha that’s great and those shoes are bella ugly! I always woundered why girls like them so pointy.
Winkle-pickers (pictured) are utterly dreadful. They just make your feet look huge unless you have toddler feet.
The second image is not so far from the truth if you’ve seen the feet of women who have worn uncomfortable shoes for a long time.
